As an important part of the 50,000 sqft SATIS exhibition held in ‘Docks de Paris’, the 3rd edition of the 360 Film Festival opened today with an impressive lineup of 85 VR films and experiences.
The jury’s evaluation criteria for the awarded creations included the narrative quality, the creativity, the experience comfort, and the technical quality. 12 prizes were officially announced during the opening day awards ceremony results:
Grand Prize: Dinner Party, a VR fiction by Angel Manuel SOTO (USA)
Special Prize : Dans la Peau de Thomas Pesquet – Part 2 by Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff and Jürgen Hansen (France)
Mediakwest Prize : Le Projet Bourdelle by Frédéric Purgal, France
360 Film Festival Fiction Award, fiction category: Fluchtpunkt by Béla Baptiste, Austria
360 Film Festival Documentary Awards:
- The Real Thing by Benoit Felici and Mathias Chelebourg, France
- 360 Film Festival documentary award : Journey of Gold by Jenn Duong, USA
360 Film Festival Institution Film Award: Le Trot, by Raphael Haddad, France
360 Film Festival Animation Award: Back to the Moon, by Hélène Leroux and FX Goby, USA
360 Film Festival Art Award: HanaHana by Mélodie Mousset, Switzerland

Starting November 8, worldwide audiences will be able to enjoy the 360 Film Festival’s virtual extension on the VRrOOm’s app with a program including 30 of the 85 VR films competing at this year’s event.
The app is free to access, allowing global audiences to get a taste of the program. In order to watch the full lineup, the Day Pass sells at $2.99 and Month Pass at $4.99.
