The VRrOOm's XR platform is dedicated to providing a virtual stage to the world's finest festivals and cultural events, reflecting on how today's exhibition and distribution of films go hand-in-hand in a fast-changing landscape of how art and artists relate to their audiences across all media.
The app is free to access until November 8, 2018; it is available on iOS, Android, and Google Daydream systems for VR-enabled mobile phones, allowing audiences to watch content either in magic window or in VR mode with a VR headset; the app is also compatible with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go and Gear VR, downloadable on Viveport and Oculus stores.
Starting November 8, 2018, users will be able to enjoy part of the app's program for free and will be able to access the full festivals' programs with a Day Pass ($2.99) or Month Pass ($4.99).
VRrOOm partnered with Paris-based agency Bemersive to develop the XR platform. The exclusive collaboration between VRrOOm and Bemersive will extend to additional formats in the future in order to reach larger audiences and support new features.
The app also features a virtual cinema room designed according to THX’s certification program guidelines. The THX Certified Cinema virtual auditorium is a celebration of the art of filmmaking, allowing the audience members to experience the power of storytelling in the world's most personal cinema.
