VR Could Help Students Snag A Job After College

Virtual reality is making it's way into the manufacturing industry and students in the upstate are taking advantage of the new technology.

Clemson University announced a new program Wednesday that will teach students how to use robots that could secure them jobs.

Students will be using a virtual reality headset that could teach them the inner workings of a vehicle assembly factory.

The program is aimed at reaching a generation of students who grew up on smartphones and tablets while calming fears that robots will take jobs away from humans.

Clemson University says this program will help future and current workers.

Robotics helps make manufacturing jobs safer and dispels the myth that that career field is dirty, miserable work.
