Dedicated to the dissemination of artistic performances, live shows, screenings, conferences, exhibitions or monuments’ visits in streaming and in 6DoF, the VRrOOm Social XR cultural hub is designed to allow global audiences to meet in virtual reality and explore virtual universes while interacting with other people and 3D objects in real-time.
In these stressful times of extended confinement, the new space has opened its virtual doors to the public in a first-its-kind initiative with the ‘Break Down These Walls’ Festival, an event proposed by VRrOOm and Stereopsia in collaboration with Virtual Worlds to help the public cope with sanitary confinement by taking them to a social space where they will be able to meet other people, watch movies, explore art galleries, or dance together.
Launched on March 30, 2020, the festival aims to give people all around the world the mental escape they crave for; hence, the end date was not set, as it was meant to last until most countries' confinement period would end.
Most countries worldwide have announced the slow return to normality and end of confinement in May. Hence, we are celebrating with this new and final program of our festival.

Besides screening new VR films and 3D movies every day, the audience has the opportunity to meet the creators directly inside VR on the day their work is showcased, between 4pm and 5pm GMT, to accommodate with most time zones.
