Italian optical technology company Univet presented its industrial protetective glasses combined with augmented reality technology.
Powered by Sony’s LMX-001 holographic waveguide display, the Univet glasses display information in the view field of the industrial workers. The holographic display features 419 x 138 pixels, 2000 nit brightness and 8 bit monochrome green scale with a field view of 20 degrees diagonally.
The glasses can send photos or videos to a control center in case of an emergency that needs to be analyzed and resolved remotely. It also comes with sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, or light.
Univet representatives told us that the final product will be released in late 2017 with a price tag around $1,000 — $1,500, depending on the configuration.
