Using Microsoft’s HoloLens augmented reality glasses, teaching platform Lifeliqe is offering schools educational apps to help teach children about everything from the circulatory system to electronegativity.

The company hopes that letting kids experience lessons visually will help with memory retention, as well as increase their enthusiasm for learning. LIfeliqe completed a pilot program with schools in Washington and California, and eventually plans to make available more than 1,000 3D-augmented reality models and lesson plans to schools and homeschooling parents.

“Mixed reality offers completely unique means to deliver educational content, and we are excited to take another step forward in providing immersive learning experiences,” said Ondrej Homola, Lifeliqe CEO, in a statement.
