On March 23, alternative hip-hop group Gorillaz announced their long-awaited album Humanz, which follows 2011's The Fall. Along with the album announcement, the duo of Damon Albarn Jamie Hewlett -- the humans behind the virtual band -- also dropped a 360 degree, virtual reality video for the six-minute song "Saturnz Barz (Spirit House)."

It seems natural a virtual band would find success with virtual reality, and Gorillaz have. The video received well over three million views in its first 48 hours (it has since surpassed five million), making it the biggest debut for a VR music video in YouTube's history, which the service revealed exclusively to Billboard.

Over heavy bass and a driving drumbeat, the video sees Gorillaz' four animated band members -- 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs -- explore both a haunted house and outer space (because anything is seemingly possible), which plays into the song's two titles.

The song features Jamaican DJ Popcaan, one of the many impressive collaborators featured on the album; other names include Mavis StaplesCarly SimonDe La SoulPusha TDanny Brown and Vince Staples.
