A painting of ‘The Kiss’ by Gustav Klimt

Pucker your lips and prepare to be kissed by lots of Gustav Klimt at an immersive multimedia exhibition coming to a riverside arts venue.

After 60,000-plus people came to see a larger-than-life animated adaptation of works by Van Gogh, Monet and Gauguin at River City, a new venue for digital art will debut there with an exhibition celebrating the Art Nouveau movement, which peaked during turn of the (previous) century.

Something Nouveau opens next month at the soon-to-launch Museum of Digital Art and will feature both masterpieces and lesser-knowns from three artists of the time: Austria’s Klimt, Czech painter Alphonse Mucha and British illustrator Aubrey Beardsley.

It will include interactive digital installations and a virtual reality show for which art enthusiasts will strap on headsets to experience the works in a 3D environment.

The exhibition, organized by European digital production house Vision Multimedia Projects, will run Jan. 15 through April 16.

Tickets are available online from now through Jan. 14. They are THB300 for adults and THB200 for children, students and seniors. The Museum of Digital Art is on the second floor of River City Bangkok on Soi Charoen Krung 24.
