It seems crazy to think that PlayStation VR is less than a month away from being an actual product on the market. Despite the fact that Sony has put a massive amount of effort and capital into its foray into the world of virtual reality, news surrounding the upcoming headset has been relatively quiet since E3.
Arguably the biggest PlayStation VR exclusive, RIGS Mechanized Combat League, is hoping to bring an addictive flair to the idea of what a competitive game can be in virtual reality. By placing players in mech suits with various abilities, the hope is that everyone who steps in a match feels like they’re actually some sort of super-human mechanized sports beast. The one question is whether or not the technology is there at this point to support such a frenetic, twitchy experience without making players sick.
Today, Sony has released a new trailer showcasing some of RIGS gameplay, which you can check out below:
RIGS Mechanized Combat League is currently set to launch on October 13, exclusively on PlayStation VR.
