Today VR is a cool concept, but recently there have been a lot of ugly trash titles for VR devices. However, one title that doesn’t look all that bad is called Overload, which is being made by Revival Productions. The first-person flying game is set to hit PC via Steam Early Access on March 13th.
Back on March 11th, 2016, Revival Productions successfully Kickstarted Overload, a first-person VR game that sees players taking on various ships. The game is currently looking to get on to Steam Early Access in the next few days, and its official description has already gone up:
“Overload is a new six-degree-of-freedom shooter from the creators of Descent, currently under development. The first Early Access release contains: 4 unique Challenge Mode levels, Infinite and Countdown variants that change the focus to Survival or Efficiency, optional training level for refining your piloting skills, one sample single-player level (not part of the main campaign), 12 explosive weapons (7 primary weapons and 5 missile), 10 terrifying robot enemies.”
Being upfront and detailing everything for potential customers and gamers looking to jump into Overload above, we also learn that every three or four weeks a significant update will drop. Other stuff that will be in the game when it nears its end on Early Access includes:
- * 10+ Challenge Mode levels
- * Multiple rule variants in Challenge Mode
- * XP-based unlocks and permanent upgrades for Challenge Mode
- * 5 Single-player fully playable campaign levels
- * 13-14 upgradable weapons
- * 15+ robots of varying ferocity.

There is talk on the Kickstarter update page that there will be a first-person cockpit that will be changeable. Pictures of said addition can be seen in concept form and in-game.
