Admit it, you've always dreamed of shuffling through your Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and throwing down a Blue-Eyes White Dragon to beat your opponent. Even if you haven't, you'll soon be able to organize fights with monsters from the anime.
It may sound unbelievable, but it's true. A new augmented reality video game similar to Pokemon Go is currently underway thanks to a YouTuber named MicrowaveSam.
Last weekend, MicrowaveSam posted the very first demo of the game, which is still untitled for the moment. At first, we see him with a friend in the middle of a park wearing a HoloLens headset.
Suddenly, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards materialize before his eyes and the monster fight begins. The interface has the same features as the original card game and it's even possible to order your Exodia the Forbidden card to attack by voice command.
The only downside is that for now, the game is not made by Konami, the company who owns the rights to Yu-Gi-Oh!. It's entirely created by fans who are hoping people will get excited enough about the game to motivate Konami to fund it and make it legal. We're crossing our fingers for them!
