This year, VRrOOm and Stereopsia will be collaborating for the first time, adding an Augmented Reality showcase to the event’s rich XR program, which takes place in Brussels from December 11 to 13.
Called 'Surreal' in homage to the capital of surrealism and as a reference to augmented reality being an overlay of virtual items on the actual reality, the new AR program will showcase the breadth and depth of AR creative works.
The goal of this partnership is to further support the diversity of immersive content and to help facilitate the access of the audiences to extended reality creations.
We are on the verge of the next digital revolution, and we believe that augmented content has tremendous potential due to the fact that the AR technology is user-friendly and easy to access. The generalization of 5G technology will let billions of people seamlessly access AR content and the aim of 'Surreal' is to push for quality and diversity to emulate creation in immersive technologies in general and augmented reality in particular.
