Stuttgart is a special place for car enthusiasts, the historic seat of the German car industry. Hopefully you've already watched our VR experience at the Porsche Museum, which was amazing in its own right. The Mercedes-Benz Museum is impressive to the point of being slightly overwhelming. The structure is incredible, and it's stuffed to the gills with historic and beautiful Mercedes-Benz cars of every shape and era.
And not just cars. Mercedes-Benz has been making a variety of vehicles since the get-go, everything from heavy trucks to taxis and limousines. Take a virtual tour of the fascinating collection with Senior Editor Alex Kierstein as we see everything from the first practical gasoline automobiles to the magnificent 300 SL Gullwing.
After that, hop in with us as we take a 1987 Mercedes-Benz 300SL up into the hills on the outskirts of Stuttgart. This car is one of what the company calls an All Time Star – it's a classic car that the company has fixed up to one of several condition grades, to be sold by the company at a reasonable price.
Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll be posting them here on Autoblog, but for the best experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too!
