May 31, 2018

Global telco Orange has teamed up with the French Tennis Federation to bring immersive broadcasting technologies to Roland Garros.

Partner of the French Open for the past 17 years, Orange will deliver a live, augmented reality (AR) broadcast experience from the Philippe-Chatrier court.

Besides, based on the strength of Orange’s fibre network, and through a VR headset, fans will be able to play against a hologram competitor through a virtual reality game.

The French telco will also deploy an immerse experience in the stadium, looking into otherwise inaccessible facilities and experiencing the changes of Roland Garros’ main court through time.
