Rafael Nadal at the launch of VR Movistar Nadal
Having battled all season against injuries, Roger Federer, and the rest of the tennis pros, Nadal saved his biggest test to last… a match against the world No1.
Spanish telecommunications company Movistar, owned by Telefonica, have teamed up with the tennis legend to create VR Movistar Nadal.
From December 1 to 12, the Gran Flamenco Store in Madrid will be dedicated to Nadal with a series of innovative experiences and interactive activities on show.
Fans have the chance to visit the exclusive selection of Rafa Nadal Museum Xperience pieces and play VR Movistar Nadal, a virtual reality game with which they can train and take part in the Rafa Nadal Challenge.
And at one of the launch events, Nadal got to experience what it’s like to play against the ‘King of Clay’. With a crowd watching on, Nadal donned a virtual reality headset and began hitting against himself.
With fans able to see his every move on the screen in front of them, they watched the 31-year-old hit several backhand shots.
