NEW YORK (FOX 5 NEWS) - The cost of enjoying virtual reality in your own home can range anywhere from $15 to $1,500. At Jump Into the Light, you can sample some of the best VR on the market for $45.
Jump Into the Light is America's first virtual reality cinema. Software developer Michael Deathless teamed up with nuclear particle physicist Sky Rolnick to bring VR to the masses.
There's an area to screen short films shot made with 360 cameras. The Oculus Rift station is hands on, allowing players to manipulate a virtual environment without a controller.
The deeper you go, the more immersive the experience becomes. There's even a futuristic photo booth for the ultimate 3D selfie.
There isn't a tech giant that isn't jumping into the VR game these days. But there is still a high cost for consumers to bring the technology into their living rooms. As the industry grows, jump into the light hopes to remain a place of discovery for gamers and innovators alike.
