The American jam band Umphrey’s McGee has joined its work with Dallas-based VR/AR creative studio Flight School to create an unprecedented AR poster for its three-day concert, which will be held in Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Colorado, USA. The expert giants of Flight School have created a creative poster, which will enable fans to feel the full energy of the upcoming concerts of the band through the AR app.
When using the app, fans can keep their phone cameras over the poster and switch on the volume. As the app goes on, on the artwork appear various colors with artful movements coupled with the band’s music.
This unique augmented technology has been created by the Unity game development engine, and the posters’ illustrations have been done via Photoshop.
The all AR poster’s pre-orders have already been purchased instantly after release, which is a bright example of how AR can be integrated into music sphere. New posters will be ready to buy during the band’s three-night shows, which will last from 30th of June to 2nd of July.
The AR app is currently available and can be downloaded from iOS or Google Play.
