UK based virtual reality developer and publisher nDreams, announced that it has received an investment of £2 million ($2.5 million), in the first of a two-stage round.
The major part of the investment came from a UK investment group called Mercia Technologies PLC, who has previously invested £4.1 million into nDreams. The rest of the investment comes from a group of angel investors. The new fund will be used to develop multiple VR projects, the company said in an official statement.
nDreams has already published a number of VR titles for all major mobile and high-end VR platforms . These titles include SkyDIEving, Gunner, Perfect Beach and The Assembly . The company also recently released Danger Goat, its first title for Google’s mobile VR headset Daydream.
“This investment allows us to continue building on the momentum we have achieved, and to develop VR games and experiences of the very highest quality,” said Patrick O’Luanaigh, nDreams’ CEO and Founder.

nDreams was formed in 2006 by former Codemasters and Eidos Creative Director, Patrick O’Luanaigh (Tomb Raider: Legend, Hitman: Blood Money, Conflict: Desert Storm, Micro Machines V3) with a focus on virtual worlds. Since 2013, the company has exclusively dedicated its talents to developing innovative and remarkable virtual reality games and experiences.
