Beck Steps Down As CEO Of Beat Saber Studio

Beck will now focus on the game's music, while Vladimir Hrincar takes over as CEO.

Beat Games Studio CEO Jaroslav Beck is stepping down from the role, to focus on the "music roadmap" for the VR hit, Beat Saber.

The new CEO will be Vladimir Hrincar, who created Beat Saber along with Beck and Jan Ilavsky. Hrincar will now focus on "further development of the game, operations, and platform partnerships."

From now on, Beck will be solely focused on the music of Beat Saber. The company offered a recent partnership with the band Imagine Dragons as an example of territory it wants to explore further.

By stepping down as CEO, the company said, Beck will ensure that "music stays as our top priority."

"To be sure Beat Saber will push music boundaries in the future I'm stepping down from the post CEO so I can fully focus on our music roadmap and future opportunities," Beck said on Twitter.

Beat Games Studio added: "This transition will give him much bigger flexibility in pursuing music opportunities and initiatives for Beat Saber and continue to deliver the best music content for our community."

Beat Saber had sold more than one million copies as of February this year, and it remains one of the most popular virtual reality games.
