This holiday season is starting today, as the VRrOOm's XR app kicks off the world’s first XR Let’s Play Festival until January 18, 2019.
VRrOOm’s XR app is dedicated to showcasing artistic and narrative VR and AR works. Typically, the app features official selections from film festivals; however, the Let’s Play Festival will focus on let’s play, which is commonly linked to gaming.
As VRrOOm’s CEO Louis Cacciuttolo stated in a previous interview, the rise of YouTube stars or Twitch streamers shows that more and more people are watching others play games. These gamers are the storytellers of the future.
Because no other festival is dedicated to this particular type of immersive narrative content, VRrOOm is launching its own XR Let’s Play Festival —the first of its kind—, featuring awesome let's plays in 360 VR.
