A photo realistic real-time 3D virtual studio and augmented reality solution is helping the TV network transform its weather reports.
The Weather Channel has recorded its first segment using Reality virtual studio from Zero Density.
By adding the solution to their technology pipeline, the television network will make use of an array of advanced immersive virtual studio and augmented reality production tools to visualise the weather, live.
According to Michael Potts, vice president of design at The Weather Channel, adding Zero Density to their technology lineup will make their offerings “even more dynamic and engaging.”
Reality is a Native Unreal Engine, node-based compositor which offers photo realistic 3D virtual studio and augmented reality effects that transform and augment 3D presentations to create immersive content and new storytelling options for broadcasting, media and cinema industry. The solution uses NVidia Quadro GPUDirect technology for high performance video I/O to streamline real-time 4K UltraHD workflows and Unreal Engine, the photo-realistic real-time game engine from Epic Games, as the 3D renderer.
